Author Biography
Jim Murphy Jim Murphy teaches creative writing at the University of Montevallo, just south of Birmingham, Alabama, where he also chairs the Department of English & Foreign Languages. He’s been a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and a University Scholar at Montevallo. His poems have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Fine Madness, Gulf Coast, Southern Humanities Review, The Southern Review, Triquarterly, and other journals. His chapbook, The Memphis Sun, is a Tom and Stan Wick Award winner and is published by Kent State University Press. His first full-length book of poems, Heaven Overland, is published by Kennesaw State University Press. |
