Michael McFee

Michael McFee has published nine books of poems (most recently The Smallest Talk, a chapbook of one-line poems from Bull City Press in Durham, N.C.), a collection of essays (The Napkin Manuscripts, from the University of Tennessee Press), and three anthologies, including The Language They Speak Is Things to Eat: Poems by Fifteen Contemporary North Carolina Poets (UNC Press). His tenth collection of poetry, That Was Oasis, is forthcoming from Carnegie Mellon University Press. Individual poems and essays have appeared recently or are due soon in the Threepenny, Hudson, Southern and Cincinnati Reviews, as well as online at Slate and Poetry Daily. He teaches poetry writing and directs the Creative Writing Program at UNC-Chapel Hill.
